TEAM COACHING
Coaches cannot do it all. They cannot be all things to their players:
When it comes to the mental game, players often feel trapped. They don't have someone to process the mental struggles related to performance.
They avoid going to their coach (as they feel it could influence playing time).
At times they will open up in a close relationship, but that person lacks the strategies and skillset to help them overcome their challenges.
As a result, they either struggle in silence or lack the tools and their performance continues to suffer. While every coach can (and should) do things to implement mental excellence into their program, having someone to help build this into their program and support each individual athlete frees them to focus on helping the team reach their goals.
Budget constraints? There are many ways to meet the budget of your program.
